Matt,

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I will look to trim the ending next time.

I'm on pace (after two episodes) to do one per month, which I'll adhere to for now. But at some point of course I'd love to do more.

Until then, go jump on the ubiquitous Jeff Walker "Product Launch Formula" affiliate links BEFORE ALL THE CONTENT GETS TAKEN DOWN. Gimme a break...

Thanks for giving my hungry iPod more to consume. Two episodes! You're on your way!

You should think about trimming your 4-minute music outro. You could record some kind of canned message that you put on the end of each episode, inviting comments on your website, etc... you could have like 30 seconds of music fading out in the background. Very cool music, but I fast-forwarded to the end to see if it was just music, or more content.

Now for the actual meat of the podcast: I really like the Internet Fool's Gold idea. I found myself rolling my eyes when I thought of your old friend trying to reel you in. It still happens, even today.

I think affiliate sales will only work for someone who has created a rabid audience of followers who will do anything they say (a la Scott Sigler). When you have thousands of listeners, then you can tell them to click your links... not because they want to, but because you asked them to.

Are these podcasts on a regular schedule yet? I'll keep my eye open for the next one. It was a very nice tease to tell us that a future podcast will tell the story of how you HAVE made money on the site. When's THAT episode coming out? :)
